About Peoples’ Loan Program

Peoples’ Loan Program is a West Alabama nonprofit that provides no-interest loans to individuals and families facing financial hardship, offering a responsible alternative to high-interest payday loans.

Founded in 2019 by members of Grace Presbyterian Church of Tuscaloosa, the organization helps people experiencing financial distress with a focus on hope, dignity, and financial stability.

Peoples’ Loan Program is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization governed by a diverse Board of Directors representing founding organizations, community partners, and those served by the program.
